On September 17, 2016 the skeletal remains of a small child were found in a pasture just off of Interstate 45 in Madisonville, Texas. The remains were found inside three garbage bags that had been placed inside a zippered suitcase. It is suspected the child had been deceased between 3 and 5 months. The decedent is believed to be a White or Hispanic female between 2 and 6 years of age. She had long, thick, dark hair that came to just past her shoulders. She was found wearing a pink dress (size 4T, “Mon Petit” brand) with embroidered butterflies and the words “Follow Your Dreams” and a size 4 diaper (“Parent’s Choice” brand only sold at Walmart). The little girl’s remains suggested she had micrognathia, a condition where her lower jaw appeared small, which may have affected her ability to eat on her own. She was found with a feeding tube and would have required medical care during her life. Pollen analysis has suggested that the child may have been from or spent time in the southwest United States, specifically Southeast Arizona, or in the adjacent areas of Mexico…. BUT she could have also been from anywhere. The featured reconstruction is an artist’s rendering of what the Jane Doe may have looked like.

Micrognathia is somewhat common in infants, but often corrects itself as your child grows. In some children, micrognathia can cause abnormal tooth alignment because there is not enough room in your child’s mouth for the teeth to grow.
Micrognathia can present as a birth defect in numerous syndromes, including cleft lip, cleft palate, Pierre Robin sequence or syndrome, Stickler’s syndrome, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, hemifacial microsomia, Treacher Collins syndrome and others.

Micrognathia can be inherited (passed on through genes) or caused by a genetic mutation. In rare cases, the cause of micrognathia is unknown.
Feeding Tube also known as a G-tube. There are three methods for inserting a G-tube and all of them require a hospital stay and nursing care. The three methods are:
- percutaneous (through the skin) endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
- laparoscopic technique
- an open surgical procedure
Who is the the manufacturer of the feeding tube found on this child? This medical equipment had a serial number. My question is, why can’t or hasn’t the police or medical examiner trace this information in question?
"The sheriff speculated to KTRK (Channel 13) that young parents may have panicked after their sick daughter died while they were on I-45 and decided it was risky to report the death to law enforcement"
